Hiding Judge School Names on Postings

By default, postings show each judge's name followed by their school, for example Sarina Wang - Mt. SAC. If you would rather not display the judge's school, you can turn that off with a single tournament setting.

Setup->Tab Settings->Tournament Settings->Judging

  1. Uncheck Show Judge School Name on Postings.
  2. Click Update.

The box is checked by default, so postings keep showing judge schools unless you change it. You can turn it back on at any time.

Where it applies

When unchecked, judges are listed by name only (for example, Sarina Wang) on:

  • Public postings that competitors and coaches view online.
  • Paper and printed postings, including the PDF, screen and CSV versions created from the Postings page in the tab room.
  • Posting spreadsheet exports for IE, Debate and British Parliamentary events.

This covers all event types: Individual Events, Debate (including double flight), British Parliamentary, Readers Theater, World Schools and Congress. If you use judge masks, the masked name is still shown; only the school is removed.

What does not change

  • Judge schools still appear in your tab room views and reports, such as the judge lists, strikes and change-judge pages.
  • eBallots and ballot documents are not affected by this setting.
  • Competitor ePosting emails and texts do not list judges, so they are unaffected.

Good to know

Public postings are refreshed about once a minute while your tournament is active, so a change may take up to a minute to appear online. Printed postings pick up the change the next time you generate them.
