Adding Entry Notes
Some tournaments ask coaches for extra information about individual entries. The most common example is novice eligibility at a tournament that has no separate novice division but still recognizes the top novice competitor. Tournaments collect this on the Entry Notes tab.
You'll only see the Entry Notes tab if the tournament director has turned it on. Only coaches at your school can see and edit it.
Add a note to an entry
- Open the tournament's registration page.
- Select the Entry Notes tab.
- Find the entry in the list. Each row shows the event and the competitor(s).
- Type your note in the Note box. Notes can be up to 255 characters.
- Click Save Entry Notes.

You can fill in several entries and save them all at once.
Things to know
- Notes are per entry, not per competitor. A student entered in three events has three separate rows, so they can be novice-eligible in one event and not in another. A duo or other partner event has one row and one note for the pair.
- Follow the tournament's instructions. The tournament director will tell you what to write, usually in the invitation or an email (for example, "type Novice next to any novice-eligible entry"). Contact the tournament director if you're not sure.
- To remove a note, clear the box and click Save Entry Notes.
- Register the entry first. An entry only appears on the Entry Notes tab after it has been registered. If you add an entry later, come back to add its note.
Where did the Entry Notes tab go?
The tournament director can turn Entry Notes off at any time, for example to lock the notes before awards. When that happens, the tab disappears and you can't make changes, but any notes you already saved are kept. Contact the tournament director if you need to change a note after the tab is gone.
