Phonetic Spelling Competitor Names

Coaches can enter a phonetic spelling of their competitor names to assist tournament directors and judges on the correct pronunciation of names. This should help make our community more welcoming and inviting. Thanks to the student who emailed me requesting this feature and explaining how having her name mispronounced on each ballot and at awards was discouraging her participation in the activity.

1. Student Roster

Go to your School's student roster page 

2. Add New Competitor

When you add a new student to your school's roster, you can add the phonetic spelling.

 3. Edit Competitor

You can also add phonetic spelling to your existing competitors and add the phonetic spelling of their name. Click on their name in the student roster, add the phonetic spelling, and click update.
